President of the FAU to report about the phytosanitary situation in Ukraine at Grain & Maritime Days in Odessa

Within frames of the panel discussion "Features of the Ukrainian market: in 20 mln to 100 mln tonnes" at the XVIII international conference Grain & Maritime Days in Odessa-2019 (Section II. Local grain perspective), the President at the Phytosanitary Association of Ukraine (FAU), Vladyslav Sedyk will make a report "Notifications and phytosanitary issues: real problem or part of the global trade wars?"

The expert will answer questions that disturb all participants of the grain market of both Ukraine and the Black Sea region, including such ones:

— Legislative regulation of the authorities of private laboratories for sampling and execution of phytosanitary examination. What would be the point for the grain business, and when one can expect for activation of the partnership mechanism between representatives of the government and business?

— Bees or grains? What is the threat of the current initiative of beekeepers to ban on using of pesticides in the agricultural production in Ukraine?

— Features of the phytosanitary situation: key challenges of the season-2018/19. Dependence of the export volumes of agricultural products on its phytosanitary condition.

— Major claims of the countries-importers against Ukrainian products.

Also, the President of the FAU will talk about establishment of private standards on fumigation and share his own experience in the sphere.
